When we woke up on Saturday morning, it was raining. I went to the kitchen and quickly prepared breakfast for my family. Looking at my dirty kitchen, I was thinking, "Perhaps, I'll be more enthusiastic to cook if my kitchen is clean."
So, dengan penuh semangat, I took out all the 'weapons' and started scrubbing, cleaning, washing and wiping. After all the hardwork, my kitchen was finally clean and shiny! Hooray! Hooray! The best way to celebrate is by keeping it clean and shiny for at least a few more hours! No?
I tried my luck. I threw in numerous proposals plus reasons on why we need to eat out for lunch. Hubby thought my reasons were invalid. Duuhh! I finally gave up and went to the kitchen to dirty it. These are what I cooked that day:
Ikan masak pedas
Taugeh ikan masin
Sunday was drier as compared to the day before. I saw a post from a friend who prepared Chicken Rice that morning. Then, I decided to give it a try. It's my first time so, I wasn't sure how to begin. Thanks to Mr. Google, I found a recipe that was quite easy(after checking out whether I have most of the ingredients). So, here are the pictures of my first Nasi Ayam. Alhamdulillah, hubby and kids like it! I took the recipe from here :) Thanks Azie.
Lychee drink to complement our nasi ayam :D
We didn't do anything special or go to any new place in town that weekend. Our plan to do 'hanami' was cancelled due to the weather. It was raining almost the whole day. 'Hanami' is an activity where people sit down together under sakura trees and enjoy the beautiful view of sakura flowers. So, we brought our kiddos to Urae Park in the evening, since Sunday was quite sunny and windy. We bought a micro-kite for them earlier, so that seemed a good day to try it out.
They had a lot of fun playing the micro-kite. Maybe it's time for us to buy them a real kite :D
